Hadeland Upper Secondary School has a vacant position as head of department for vocational subjects from 01.08.2026

About the position
- head of department in 100% position
- personnel responsibility for the vocational department, per 01.08.26,but changes in areas of responsibility and management of various educational programs must be expected
- responsibility for the school's system work related to emergency preparedness and risk management in collaboration with the rector and the management group
- the head of department is part of the school's management team and has the rector as immediate manager
Tasks
- daily operation and follow-up of departments
- personnel responsibility and financial responsibility for departments
- pedagogical development work
- administrative tasks in the school's digital systems, including lesson planning for the department
- teaching may be added to the position as needed
Desired qualifications
- university or college education at master's level
- professional expertise in vocational subjects or other equivalent relevant professional expertise, e.g. from business and industry
- experience from school, and preferably lesson planning and the use of school administrative systems
- leadership education and/or leadership experience
- practical pedagogical education (PPU) or equivalent
- good communication skills, both oral and written
- high digital competence, and ability to learn new systems
