Career Innlandet Gjøvik is part of Innlandet County Council's focus on career guidance and lifelong learning.
We work closely with participants and working life to prevent exclusion and contribute to the completion of education.

About the position

  • 100 % permanent position as a vocational teacher in health and growth subjects, with start date 01.08.2026 or by agreement.
  • The position involves teaching and close follow-up of adult participants in modular structured training, primarily in the health worker profession. You will also contribute to guidance, prior learning assessment and development work in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legislation and agreements.
  • Place of work: Karriere Innlandet Gjøvik. Some travel activity must be included.

Tasks

  • Teaching in module-structured curricula in health and childcare
  • Close follow-up and guidance of adult participants
  • Assessment of prior learning,
  • Planning, documentation and use of digital systems
  • Collaboration with colleagues, professional environments and relevant partners in working life
  • Contribute to development work at the career center

Qualification requirements

  • Vocational teacher education in health and upbringing subjects, alternatively relevant professional certificate, experience and pedagogical education
  • Teaching skills at upper secondary level
  • Relevant practice from the health and/or upbringing sector
  • Good written and oral Norwegian language skills and communication skills
  • Good digital skills
  • Driver's license class B

Desired qualifications and characteristics

  • Experience from adult education and/or career guidance
  • Knowledge of modular structured training
  • Experience with prior learning assessment
  • Experience with follow-up of participants with complex needs
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and administrative systems
  • Good relationship skills and independence in performing work tasks
