About the unit

Career Innlandet Valdres is part of the Career Innlandet and Adult Learning unit and Innlandet County Council's focus on career guidance and adult learning. The career center offers career guidance, upper secondary education for adults and facilitation for decentralized vocational school/higher education. The Career Center collaborates on guidance and training services with the employment and business sectors, municipalities and NAV.

About the position

• 30% permanent teaching position from 01.08.2026 as a teacher of Norwegian with language learning for linguistic minorities.
• You will be employed by Innlandet County Council with a workplace at Karriere Innlandet Valdres in Leira.

Tasks

• reinforced language training/guidance in Norwegian
• close and broad cooperation with various professional environments and actors in working life
• you must expect to travel a little to external meetings with partners
• close cooperation with teachers and case workers at the center

Qualification requirements

• Teaching skills in Norwegian at upper secondary level. Applicants without pedagogical education must complete this within 3 years.
• Second language pedagogy
• competence in guidance and education of adults with little or no school background
• experience with interdisciplinary cooperation
• personal suitability is emphasized

Desired qualifications

• experience in assessing and mapping Norwegian language level
• experience with cooperation with NAV and the labor market
• master different methods and training arenas
• didactic and pedagogical skills to meet different groups of participants
• skills and experience in the pedagogical use of ICT
