Description

Lillehammer Dental Clinic has a full-time (100%) temporary position available as a dental hygienist, to start as soon as possible and lasting through December 11, 2026. There may be opportunities to extend the temporary position somewhat.

In Innlandet County, we place particular emphasis on ensuring that our dental hygienists have an increased presence in the municipalities. Regular dental hygienist duties at the dental clinics are combined with outreach work.

The goal is to strengthen health promotion efforts and increase awareness of oral health in all settings.

All dental hygienists in Innlandet County become part of a public health team that works closely with colleagues at the dental clinics.

About the Clinic


Lillehammer Dental Clinic is a dental clinic consisting of 11 dentists (8.7 full-time equivalents), 4 dental hygienists (3.8 full-time equivalents), and 12 dental secretaries/assistants (10.8 full-time equivalents).
Lillehammer Dental Clinic has a TOO team affiliated with the clinic.

About the Position

  • 100% temporary position as a dental hygienist at the Lillehammer Dental Clinic, starting as soon as possible and lasting through December 11, 2026. There is a possibility that the temporary position may be extended slightly.
  • The dental clinic treats adult, fee-paying patients in addition to the treatment groups required by law. 
  • The workplace is Lillehammer Dental Clinic, Kirkegata 78, 2609 Lillehammer.

Qualifications

  • The appointment will be based on a comprehensive assessment of the interview, education, work experience, and references.
  • You must have a Class B driver’s license and access to a car.

We require

  • Norwegian licensure as a dental hygienist.
  • You must be fluent in Norwegian/Scandinavian languages, both spoken and written.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Applicants for permanent dental hygienist positions are expected to participate in clinical supervision of dental hygiene students.
A course in clinical supervision is offered by Innlandet University College, Elverum campus.
The schedule for the supervisory role and any training will be arranged in collaboration with the chief dental officer.
