Nord-Gudbrandsdal vidaregåande skule has a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as head of department from August 1, 2026. August 2026

  • have approved teacher education and teaching skills from primary and/or secondary school
  • have leadership experience from secondary or primary school
  • have the student in focus
  • have broad work experience
  • confident in the use of digital resources and experience from public case management programs such as Visma InSchool, Visma Plus, Elements and various Conexus programs
  • is enterprising, collaborative and solution-oriented in a hectic day
  • is able to help develop the school as a learning organization

About the position

  • 100% permanent position available from 01.08.2026
  • the person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on education and experience, cf. laws and agreements
  • the position is based in Otta

Tasks

  • professional responsibility with financial and personnel responsibility
  • departmental responsibility for individually tailored training, introductory offers for minority language speakers. Other areas may be added to the position
  • common tasks for the management group
  • the position is part of the school's management group

Qualification requirements

  • approved teacher training for teaching in primary and/or secondary schools secondary school
  • teaching experience from primary or secondary school
  • experience from transition work between primary and secondary school
  • experience with coordination of complex student cases
  • formal competence in, and experience from teaching minority language students
  • formal competence in, and experience in guiding literacy training
  • experience in cooperation between public bodies and the business community
  • experience in public case management under the Public Administration Act and special laws
