Raufoss High School is seeking an environmental educator for a full-time, permanent position

As an environmental educator at Raufoss High School, you will be responsible for the students’ well-being and help ensure a safe learning environment both during class and in the school’s common areas. The ability to fulfill such a role will therefore be emphasized.

About the positions
- 100% permanent position
- Start date: August 1, 2026
- Working hours follow the school year and are therefore paid at 89%
- Appointment is contingent upon an approved police background check
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the planning and implementation of environmental initiatives at the school
- Help foster student well-being and academic development
- Help prepare students for the workforce and related activities
- Help ensure students participate in theoretical and practical training
- Environmental education in a holistically organized department
- Collaborate with students and staff
- Collaboration and development work, both within subject teams and at the school as a whole
- guiding students in social skills and relationship-building
- planning and implementing interventions for individual students and groups
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant higher education (social care, social work, education, or equivalent)
- Experience with social support work and managing behavioral challenges, preferably in a school setting
- Experience working with youth with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), intellectual disabilities, and trauma.
- Class B driver’s license, preferably D1, or a willingness to obtain one
- Digital skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
