Description

The Real Estate Department, Development Section, of Innlandet County Municipality has a full-time (100%) permanent position available as an SHA Advisor/SHA Specialist. The position will play a central role in the department’s SHA work, with the possibility of expanded technical responsibility.

About the Unit

Innlandet County Council has a centralized real estate management system organized within the Real Estate Department. The department is responsible for ownership, management, operation, maintenance, and development of the county council’s building stock, which totals approximately 400,000 m². The majority of this building stock consists of high schools.

The Development Section is responsible for, among other things:

  • planning and implementing investment projects
  • implementing maintenance projects and measures
  • various studies and consulting assignments

About the Position

  • 100% permanent position

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as an SHA advisor for the Real Estate Department’s building and construction projects
  • Serve as a technical advisor and provide support to project managers and the rest of the project organization on SHA matters
  • Serve as the department’s technical point of contact for contracted SHA coordinators
  • Monitor and ensure that contracted SHA coordinators fulfill their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Client Regulations and signed agreements
  • serve as the design coordinator (KP) and construction coordinator (KU) in certain projects
  • develop and maintain routines, templates, procedures, and other governing documents related to SHA
  • help ensure that the client’s obligations under the Client Regulations are fulfilled in our building and construction projects
  • contribute to systematic learning from experience and continuous improvement of HSE work
  • contribute to competency development and training in HSE for project managers and other relevant stakeholders
  • assist the department in dialogue and follow-up with the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority regarding HSE-related matters

You will have an independent and central professional role with the opportunity to influence and further develop the department’s HSE work. Depending on your expertise, experience, and the department’s needs, the position may involve expanded professional responsibilities within HSE. At the same time, you will become part of a competent and interdisciplinary professional environment.

Other tasks may be assigned based on the department’s needs and your expertise and interests.

Qualification Requirements

  • Relevant higher education, preferably at least a bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering, HSE, or other relevant fields. Relevant technical college education combined with solid, relevant experience may compensate for the bachelor’s degree requirement
  • Relevant experience from the construction industry
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Norwegian
  • Class B driver’s license

Desired qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the Building Owner Regulations and relevant occupational safety and health regulations
  • Knowledge of the Workplace Regulations and other relevant SHA regulations
  • Experience as an SHA coordinator for design (KP) and/or construction (KU)
  • Experience with SHA work in construction and civil engineering projects
  • Experience from construction sites, construction management, or project management is a plus
  • Experience with the development and implementation of routines, procedures, or management systems within SHA/HMS is a plus
  • Experience with consulting, mentoring, or training in SHA is a plus
  • Experience with the use of HSE regulations
