About Innlandstrafikk

The Innlandstrafikk section in the Transportation Department is Innlandet County Council's competence environment for mobility and public transport. The section plans, orders and develops safe, efficient and user-friendly public transport services for the entire county. The work includes route planning, analyses, school transport, tender and contract management, operation and quality assurance of the services, as well as the development of new mobility and digitalization solutions. Innlandstrafikk is based in Lillehammer and Folldal and works to create a modern, sustainable and future-oriented public transport service for the inhabitants of Innlandet.

Would you like to help develop an efficient and comprehensive public transport service for the inhabitants of Inland?

Innlandstrafikk is responsible for planning, ordering and developing public transport in Inland. We are now building a new unit - Mobility Management - which will have a central role in the work with route planning, analysis, contract management, school transport and quality of service.

To strengthen the work with comprehensive and data-driven planning, we are looking for an advisor in route planning who will help develop tomorrow's public transport services. Tasks

As a route planning advisor, you will be part of a professional environment that works to plan a coherent and efficient public transport service in Inland Norway. You will work closely with both internal professional environments and operators.

The work will include:

  • Detailed route planning for buses and other mobility services
  • Analysis of data (passenger numbers, driving time data, etc.) to improve and streamline the offer
  • Contribute to the development of long-term plans and their operationalization
  • Further development of methodology, tools and work processes in planning
  • Dialogue with operators on logistics, operations and quality
  • Participation in projects and development tasks across the section
  • Contribute with professional investigations and decision-making
  • Ensure the quality of data that forms the basis for information to customers and for the operators' production

You will have a major impact on your own working day and considerable professional freedom of action.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant higher education, preferably at master's level (logistics, social planning, engineering, operations analysis, IT, mathematics, etc.)
  • Experience with public transport, route planning, logistics or planning processes
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of digital tools for planning
  • Analytical approach and understanding of how data can be used for better decisions
  • Experience from public administration, the mobility or transport sector is positive, but not a requirement
  • Experience from project and process management
