About the section

The public transport section in the transport department - Innlandstrafikk - is responsible for public transport in Innlandet County Council. Key tasks to ensure a modern, climate-friendly and reliable public transport service in Inland are planning and organizing school transport, route planning, procurement of transport services by bus and taxi, marketing, route information, as well as the development and management of digital services and solutions.

Innlandstrafikk is based in Lillehammer and has its own customer center in Folldal. We currently have 57 employees at these two office locations.

As a school transport planner, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient school transport for 22,500 pupils in Inland Norway.

Tasks

• follow up applications from students and plan and allocate the right school transport
• process and respond to inquiries from students and municipalities
• issue decisions in line with the Public Administration Act
• contribute to budget and cost control

The work tasks will be diverse and you will contribute to delivering a good service for school transportation in Innlandet.

Qualification requirements

• Higher education, minimum 3 years
• Good written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian
• Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
