Sentrum Upper Secondary School is looking for a dedicated Head of Department for a permanent 100% position starting August 1, 2026.
The position is linked to the field of special education and you will be Head of Department for the Adapted Department at Sentrum Upper Secondary School. As part of the school's management, you will be an important contributor to the school's development projects, professional environment, and a safe physical and psychosocial school environment.

About the position

- the person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legal and contractual requirements
Tasks
- responsibility and follow-up for adaptation and special educational measures
- individual application
- mapping and follow-up of pupils
- collaboration with external agencies
- close collaboration with municipal and county PPT
- further development of special educational work
- the head of department is part of the school's management team, and thus shares responsibility for the school's operations and development
- personnel and financial responsibility
- assisting staff in the follow-up of pupils with special needs and ITO
- responsibility for individual decisions
- work tasks can be adjusted somewhat based on the applicant's competence
Qualification requirements
- special education education
- education in management
- knowledge of ITO legislation
- experience in ITO
- experience with the school's digital systems
Desired qualifications
- experience from, and insight into upper secondary education
- good knowledge of the Education Act
