Would you like to lead development efforts, strengthen collaboration, and help increase opportunities for learning and employment in Gudbrandsdalen?

Karriere Innlandet Gudbrandsdal is part of Karriere Innlandet. The unit is part of the Regional Competence Development section and is responsible for career guidance and adult education in Innlandet County. Karriere Innlandet consists of nine regional career centers.

The Gudbrandsdal Career Center covers Central and Northern Gudbrandsdal and is located in Otta. Together with the other centers, we aim to address a changing labor market and society, contribute to increased skills, and ensure access to a qualified workforce in the region.

We work closely with municipalities, NAV, educational institutions, and the business community, and offer career guidance to a diverse population—adults in various life situations, including newly settled refugees and participants in adult secondary education.

Gudbrandsdalen is a region with strong traditions, close collaboration, and growing diversity. At the same time, the region is facing a period of transition, which presents excellent opportunities for developing new solutions through the interaction between people, expertise, and the workforce.

Your Role – Leadership in Collaboration and Development

As a department head, you will play a central role in further developing services and collaboration in a region with a growing need for transformation and inclusion.

You will

  • lead and develop the department in response to new competency needs and societal changes
  • drive change and development processes that deliver relevant and forward-looking services
  • strengthen collaboration and cooperation with municipalities, NAV, the labor market, and the business community
  • contribute to comprehensive and accessible services for a diverse population
  • build an inclusive culture characterized by collaboration, sharing, and learning
  • ensure high quality, goal achievement, and efficient use of resources

The position entails comprehensive professional, administrative, and personnel responsibilities. You will be part of the management team for Karriere Innlandet and actively contribute to development efforts across regions.

Qualifications:

  • relevant higher education, preferably at the master’s level
  • management experience, preferably from knowledge or development organizations
  • experience with change management and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • preferably experience working with diverse target groups
  • a good understanding of upper secondary education and adult learning
  • strong collaboration and communication skills
  • relevant experience may compensate for the educational requirement
