Hadeland Upper Secondary School has a need for a teacher in technology and industrial subjects.

From the fall of 2026, the Department of Technology and Industry will have three classes in Vg1 TIF, one class in Vg2 Vehicles and one class in Vg2 Industrial Technology (PIN).

About the position

• 100 % permanent position available from 01.08.2026

• The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. law and agreements

Tasks

• Planning, prepare and carry out teaching in program subjects and vocational specialization
• follow up students academically and socially
• follow up students in need of individually tailored education (ITO) and prepare individual education plans (IOP)
• assessment and grading
• collaborate closely with colleagues in common subjects and program subjects
• close contact and cooperation with the industry
• contact teacher responsibility may be added to the position

Qualification requirements

• professional certificate in industrial subjects or automotive/mechanics
• vocational teacher/PPU - applicants without full pedagogical competence may be appointed on the condition of education with a requirement to complete PPU within a specified period.
• good pedagogical understanding
• ability to use digital tools as a natural part of the work
• good communication skills, written and oral
• is a clear class leader who builds good relationships with young people
• has positive expectations of the students and appears as a good role model
• has an interest in adaptation and special education

Desired qualifications

• has education or practical experience from special education and facilitation for pupils who need extra support
• it is desirable that the applicant has varied and relevant work experience
