The transport department / road section has a vacancy in 100% as an inspector asphalt surface within preventive maintenance of asphalt surfaces. Place of work Kongsvinger, Hamar, Gjøvik or Lillehammer.

About the position

• 100% permanent position
• Place of work: Kongsvinger, Hamar, Gjøvik Lillehammer
• The position will involve travel around the county of Innlandet
• The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legal and contractual requirements

Tasks

• perform inspection of asphalt work in line with relevant standards
• check the execution and quality of asphalt laying, including evenness, thickness, compaction and temperature
• follow up contract requirements and deviations, and document this
• order and coordinate laboratory tests (drill samples, grain distribution, binder content, voids, etc.
• perform various field measurements
• assist in planning and quantity calculation for upcoming asphalt projects
• interact closely with contractors, construction manager and others
• assist the road marking team with the needs that will arise during the planning and control of both transverse and longitudinal road marking
• assist both asphalt and road marking in the quiet period of updating in the road database "NVDB"

Qualification requirements

• professional certificate from the asphalt profession
• extensive relevant experience from operation and / or maintenance of roads can compensate for professional certificate
• good knowledge in the use of ICT tools
• communicators
• .tools
• communicate well in Norwegian, both written and spoken. Minimum level C1 (CEFR)
• driving license class B
