Description

The Transport Department in Innlandet County Council has a vacancy for a permanent position in business management, starting as soon as possible. The position is located in the staff.

The position involves close cooperation with various professional environments.

About the unit

The transport department is responsible for school transport and public transport with approximately 21 million route kilometers in Inland, and operation, development and management of approx. 7,000 kilometers of county roads. The area of responsibility is large, and includes both strategic planning, exercise of authority and operational follow-up of services that are crucial for the citizens' everyday mobility and the transport needs of business and industry.

The staff will assist the head of the transport department in supporting, coordinating, developing and ensuring the management and leadership of the transport department. The staff has overall responsibility for legal affairs, communication, public safety and emergency preparedness, corporate governance - finance, quality, internal control and risk management.

About the position

The position is located in the staff of the transport department. The staff consists of 17 people.

  • 100% permanent position.
  • The workplace is primarily in Lillehammer, but Hamar and Gjøvik may also be possible workplaces.
  • The starting date is as soon as possible.
  • The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legislation and agreements.

Tasks

You will be a key person in the work with corporate governance within internal control, quality and risk management. You will be responsible for following up and coordinating this work in the department.

  • Responsibility for governing documents in the department within internal control, quality and risk management.
  • Reporting.
  • Leading and implementing systematic processes for risk assessment in the department.
  • Following up the department's deviations - learning points and statistics.
  • Training - follow up the necessary HSE training and competence in the department.
  • Coordination of the safety service:
    - safety rounds and follow-up
    - joint meetings
    - ensure elections
  • Close cooperation in the field with other departments, sections and units where relevant.

Qualifications

  • You have relevant higher education at bachelor's or master's level.
  • You preferably have experience with both overall and operational work with internal control, quality and risk management.
  • You have good written and oral presentation skills.
  • You have the ability to work both independently and in teams.
