The Department of Transport/Road Section/Digitalization and Road Data has a vacant position in 100% as a digitalization advisor.

About the unit

The Digitalization and Road Data unit is an active contributor in Transport, working to empower colleagues in the use of digital and technological methods to achieve good data bases and work processes. We are a total of ten employees divided into two subject areas, as the unit name describes. The majority of our employees are based in Hamar, but we can also be found in Lillehammer, Gjøvik and Otta. About the position

We are looking for someone who is a bridge builder between user needs, goals and technological opportunities.

An essential part of the work is to map and understand needs and how technology can support work processes in Transport. The unit is structured through role responsibility, which this position will also be a part of. The work will include consulting, preparation of requirement specifications, procurement, implementations and user training in connection with technology. Understanding data flow, and what it takes to become more data-driven with the use of road data and basic data in our work processes, is an important competence to bring to the work included in the position. This may also include registering, updating and correcting data sets. The ability to lead a working group of colleagues is an advantage.

  • 100% permanent position.
  • Place of work: Hamar, Lillehammer, Gjøvik or the nearest relevant office location where Innlandet County Council has a transport office.
  • The position may involve some travel in Innlandet County.
  • The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legislation and agreements. The job title will be consultant or advisor.

Tasks and desired qualifications

  • Contribute to the technological development of Transport through service design and system understanding.
  • Contribute to registering, structuring and communicating needs against goals, and be able to see the interaction between people and technology.
  • Process analysis and mapping of technological wishes and needs.
  • Designing "user journeys" and preparing requirement specifications.
  • Procurement and management of digital solutions.
  • Implementation and facilitation of benefit realization, including tasks in connection with reception projects (e.g. from Novari).
  • Advice, system support and training for Transport in relation to technology and data.
  • Ability to use IT tools in the Microsoft platform.

Qualification requirements

  • You have a relevant recent university education, with a minimum bachelor's degree.
  • Relevant work experience (minimum 2 years) from recent times, can compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Communicate very well in Norwegian, both written and oral.
