The transport department / road section / operations unit has a vacancy in 100% as operations manager for surface treatment / sealing within preventive maintenance of asphalt surfaces at the office location Gjøvik.

About the position

Work tasks

You will help manage our new project that includes the use of surface treatment and sealing of asphalt pavements, the work will include everything that is natural to this work such as:

  • Planning/management in the use of sealing trucks/combined trucks and patch gun trucks that will be carried out throughout the Inland region by our contractor in the Gjøvik/Toten operating contract. This is in close cooperation with the South Østerdal contract.
  • Purchase and quality follow-up of bitumen emulsion in cooperation with operating contracts
  • Purchase and quality follow-up of suitable stone masses for use in production.
  • Cooperate with our 13 operating contracts for execution and assistance with necessary work notification and control of the work performed
  • Assist operating contract Gjøvik/Toten with follow-up of operation and maintenance tasks.

Qualification requirements

  • professional certificate from the asphalt profession
  • extensive experience and knowledge from the management of winter and summer operations on county roads, minimum 2 years
  • good knowledge in the use of ICT tools
  • communicate well in Norwegian, both written and oral. Minimum level C1 (CEFR)
  • driving license class B
