Description

The transport department in Innlandet County Council is looking for a structured and committed project coordinator in a 100% permanent position for the project management unit in the road section.

Through this role, you will contribute to the safe, sustainable and comprehensive development of the county road network in Innlandet. You will be an important support for project managers and management in project and portfolio management, and contribute to a good overview and interaction.

About the unit

The transport department is facing major and socially important tasks. The project management unit will contribute to the road section solving its tasks in a professional, efficient and comprehensive manner. The unit has responsibility and expertise in areas such as finance, business management, project coordination, contract work, quality systems, SHA, environment and emergency preparedness.

About the position

The position is organizationally located in the Transport Department, Road Section, Project Management Unit.
The project coordinator is part of an interdisciplinary construction client environment and works closely with project managers and professional environments within road development and management.

  • 100% permanent position.
  • Start date as soon as possible.
  • Place of work: Hamar or Lillehammer (other office locations in Innlandet County Council may be considered).
  • The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legislation and agreements.

Tasks

  • Coordinate and support project managers and unit managers in various phases of road projects.
  • Contribute with progress monitoring and reporting.
  • Follow up project finances, progress and quality.
  • Contribute to portfolio management through:
    • Compilation of status and key figures across projects
    • Decision and prioritization support
    • Follow-up of portfolio overviews
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project and portfolio management processes.

Qualification requirements

  • Relevant higher education, for example in project management, engineering, economics, social sciences or equivalent
  • Extensive and relevant experience can compensate for the educational requirement

Desired qualifications

  • Thrive in a coordinating role
  • Experience with project work and understanding of project and portfolio management.
  • Good Norwegian oral and written presentation skills.
  • Driver's license class B is an advantage.
