Trysil High School has a full-time (100%) temporary position available as Head of the Vocational Education Department through July 31, 2027 (with the possibility of extension), to begin as soon as possible.

About the Position
- 100% temporary position as department head, with responsibility for vocational programs (health and child development, and construction) and the special education department

- The Department Head for Vocational Education is a member of the school’s leadership team
- Work location: Trysil High School
- The successful candidate will be assigned a position code based on the requirements of the position, education, and experience, in accordance with applicable laws and agreements
Job Responsibilities
- Educational leadership and management of development initiatives
- Personnel management
- Financial management
- Vocational education network coordinator
- Monitoring the students’ learning environment
- Administrative and pedagogical tasks
- Teaching duties as needed
Qualification Requirements
- Approved teaching qualifications within the school’s educational programs (health and child development, building and construction technology, academic specialization, physical education, or special education)
- strong Norwegian language skills, both oral and written
- relevant digital skills
Desired qualifications
- relevant leadership training and/or leadership experience
