Trysil High School has a full-time (100%) temporary position available as Head of the Vocational Education Department through July 31, 2027 (with the possibility of extension), to begin as soon as possible.

About the Position

• 100% temporary position as department head, with responsibility for vocational programs (health and child development, and construction) and the special education department
• the position is open through the 2026/2027 school year, with the possibility of extension
• Start date to be agreed upon
• Teaching is part of the position
• The Department Head for Vocational Education is a member of the school’s leadership team
• Work location: Trysil High School
• The successful candidate will be assigned a position code based on the requirements of the position, education, and experience, in accordance with applicable laws and agreements

Job Responsibilities

• Educational leadership and management of development initiatives
• Personnel management
• Financial management
• Vocational education network coordinator
• Monitoring the students’ learning environment
• Administrative and pedagogical tasks
• Teaching duties as needed

Qualification Requirements

• Approved teaching qualifications within the school’s educational programs (health and child development, building and construction technology, academic specialization, physical education, or special education)
• strong Norwegian language skills, both oral and written
• relevant digital skills

Desired qualifications

• relevant leadership training and/or leadership experience
