Vinstra vidaregåande skule has a vacancy for up to 60% permanent position in folk music at the education program for music, dance and drama - national line folk music.

About the position
- Up to 60% permanent position in folk music from 01.08.2026
Tasks
- Teach the subject "music in perspective" - folk music VG2 and VG3
- Teach in folk music ensemble / fiddler team Spira
- Teach secondary instrument kveding (depending on competence)
- Teach secondary instrument: Various folk music instruments
- Field teachers (main instrument)
- Other subjects may be relevant

- knows the breadth of the field of folk music - sonic, historical, geographical and theoretical - and sees connections between subjects
- likes working with young people, sees each student, is good at motivating and adapting teaching
- works well, both independently and in professional teams and contributes to the professional community
- has good communication skills, oral and written
- are able to familiarize themselves with curricula and legislation and see opportunities rather than limitations
- are well informed about the need for musical skills in society
- are an active folk music performer
- have digital competence and sees the benefit of this
