For the holiday period summer 2026, we are looking for:

  • Authorized nurses
  • 2nd year nursing students
  • Medical students who have completed 4 years

Need primarily from June 1 through August, but other periods may also be relevant. Specify in the application which period you are available.

Duties

Nurse: Receiving, triaging and treating patients who come as an emergency to the hospital for admission or outpatient treatment.

Assistants/2nd year nursing student: Assisting the nurse, incidental work in the department.

Medical student with nursing duties: Act as a nurse in reception, not a locum doctor.

  • Receive patients for emergency admissions, provide acute medical care that safeguards life and health
  • Initiate measures and treatment
  • Triage patients according to RETTS. Document in DIPS and Metavision
  • Participate in teamwork in acute conditions
  • Participate in trauma teams
  • Observation of patients in the emergency department
  • Clinical assessment

Qualifications

  • The applicant must be fluent in Norwegian written and oral
  • Norwegian authorization as a nurse
  • Under education in relevant study
  • Must have clinical experience
  • Desirable with experience in emergency medicine
