Who are we?

Medical ward 9A at Lillehammer is an infectious disease unit with 14 beds.
The ward consists mainly of single-bed rooms with a corridor for isolation, including five isolates. We are an exciting and varied ward with infectious diseases, including tropical medicine, tuberculosis, HIV, bacterial and viral infections, as well as general medicine, cancer and some surgery. Infection control is one of the ward's specialties. The ward is organized with primary nursing.

Medical ward 11A is a cardiac and pulmonary medicine ward with 20 beds.
Cardiac medicine treats patients with acute chest pain, heart failure and arrhythmias. We have patients who have undergone various heart surgeries at OUS/LHL Gardemoen and provide pre- and post-operative nursing care to patients who are to have a pacemaker. We have patients who have undergone various cardiac surgeries at OUS/LHL Gardemoen and perform pre- and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing pacemaker implantation at Lillehammer.

Pulmonary medicine treats patients with COPD/asthma exacerbation, assessment and treatment of lung cancer, as well as treatment of various lung disorders with, for example, drainage treatment.

Tasks

• Observations and documentation of the patient's condition
• Conducting various mapping forms of patients upon admission
• Measuring and following up Vitalia in patients and other technical procedures you are trained in.
• Training and implementation of various technical procedures
• Observation with the use of NEWS2
• Communication and interaction with patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals

We are also looking for pharmacists or pharmacy students who can work in the medicine room with ordering and preparation of medicines.

Qualifications

• The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian
• Preferably have some previous healthcare experience
• Be flexible and committed to learning new tasks
• In terms of age, it is desirable that you have reached the age of 20
