We offer summer jobs in several areas, and you choose what suits you best.
Who are we looking for?
We want you who:
- Are between 16 and 19 years old
- Live in Østre Toten
- Have energy, drive and like to take responsibility
- Are positive, accommodating and work well with others
- Can work both independently and in a team
- Want to learn something new and contribute to a good environment
In the application, we would like to hear a little about your interests and what you think you can contribute.
Working hours may vary from 5 to 7.5 hours per day, and the number of days per week may also vary slightly. This will be clarified in each individual case and informed well in advance of employment.
The working period is week 26-32. Please state in your application which period you can work.

Where can you work?
Feel free to tell us where you want to work - we have opportunities within:
Nursery:
- There is a need for 2 people
- Workplaces will be Kapp and Nordli kindergarten
- Work tasks will be play and activities with the children, and help in the everyday routines in the kindergarten
- Working period will be weeks 26, 27 and 32
Cleaning:
- Here there is a need for 3 to 4 people
- The work tasks are a bit physically demanding
- Work tasks will consist of exterior window cleaning with a window washing machine on municipal buildings
- The job may depend on the weather and there may be indoor cleaning tasks when needed
- Working period will be weeks 26 - 29
Activity service:
- Here there is a need for 1 person
- The work will primarily be at Balke day center at Skreia. The day center at Labo can also be considered
- Work tasks will consist of preparation, implementation and cleanup of activities, meals and contributing to the environmental work
- Here you can contribute to a meaningful and pleasant offer for elderly residents and is well suited for those who are curious about work in health and care
- Working periods will be either weeks 26 - 29 or 28 - 33

Kitchen operation
- Here there is a need for 1 person
- The work will be at Labo
- Work tasks will consist of participation in the post kitchen with the preparation of meals, peeling vegetables and cleaning
- Working period will be in the weeks 25 - 32 and here it can be adapted according to needs and wishes
Vaktmestertjenesten:
- This is where 3 people are needed
- Weeding, watering of flower beds at municipal properties
- Clearing of vegetation and grass cutting
- Waste management and other incidental work
- It can be an advantage with your own means of transport
Library:
- Here there is a need for 1 person
- Work tasks are to assist in the implementation of activities for children in "Sommerbiblioteket", as well as be involved in the counter and contact with the public
- Working period will be week 27 - 30
BUA (Frivillighetsentralen "Sommer i parken"):
- There is a need for 2 people
- Work tasks are organizing activities for children and young people
- Sharing info and updating social media
- Collaborating with BUA on lending equipment
- Working period will be week 28 - 31
Salary
Everyone under the age of 18 is paid in job code 6600 Young worker, and those over 18 in job code 6572 Assistant.
- Under 16 years: NOK 162.87/hour
- 16-18 years: NOK 183.23/hour
- Over 18 years: NOK 203.59/hour
Salaries will be adjusted according to the result of the central wage settlement from May 1, 2026.
