We have a vacant summer position from 01.06 to 21.08.2026. The position is on duty without duty.

We are large enough to offer breadth and professional challenges, but not larger than the department is clear and provides a good and safe learning environment.

The cancer unit is organized under the department of internal medicine.

The team consists of 9 experienced cancer nurses, 6 oncologists and 3 positions for doctors in specialization.

Our main task is outpatient treatment of a wide range of diseases in oncology. We treat almost all tumor groups in adults. The department follows up and supervises inpatients on surgical and medical wards. We collaborate closely with the palliative care team and the imaging department in Hamar and the radiation unit in Gjøvik. We have weekly interdisciplinary meetings where surgeons, pulmonologists, pathologists and oncologists are present.

Qualifications

• License as a doctor
• Ability to work interdisciplinary
• Norwegian authorization and completed internship/LIS part 1.
• The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian
