Innlandet Hospital Tynset is the emergency hospital in the mountain region and has a catchment area of approximately 24,000 inhabitants. The hospital has a trauma function, a stroke unit, a surgical and medical emergency function in a joint medical/surgical emergency unit. The medical services include several specialties in internal medicine, surgery and orthopaedics, as well as a midwife-led delivery room. Diagnostic imaging consists of regular X-rays, ultrasound, CT and MRI. A wide range of clinical chemistry services, including a blood bank. There is close professional collaboration with other divisions in Innlandet Hospital, as well as with St Olavs Hospital. There are DPS, BUP and contract specialist homes located in Tynset. The hospital is close to public transport. Tynset is a centre for education with several primary and secondary schools and a decentralized university college. The Norwegian Health Archive was established in Tynset in 2019. The mountain region has rich recreational opportunities in the form of outdoor life, hunting, fishing and a rich organizational and cultural life. The hospital has medical, orthopaedic and surgical emergency functions. Elective surgical activity at the hospital is high despite its small size.
We are looking for medical students with a license who can perform LIS1 tasks at the hospital in connection with vacation in the period June - August. The work will provide valuable experience ahead of the rotation. Tasks and work schedule will depend on experience and motivation. Describe your availability and motivation in your application.
