Internal Medicine Elverum is a general medical department that provides the opportunity for specialist training in general internal medicine, cardiac medicine, digestive diseases, lung diseases and nephrology. We can also facilitate other medical specialties by appointment if desired.
The department has the following positions available for the summer of 2026:
6 positions as a medical student with license / doctor without LIS1 holiday substitution: 5 - 8 weeks in the period June-August 2026.
Final working weeks are agreed with the employer after employment. It is assumed that the temporary staff hired can work in the weeks when the department has the greatest need, but please specify in the application if there are any special requests for time off, or work period, which we will then try to take into account.

Tasks
A licensed medical student is a substitute for LIS1 and will have similar tasks that include:
- post work under supervision
- reception of list patients and primary care in the emergency department
Primary care shifts are divided into day and night shifts. They are supervised by LIS2/3 in the secondary shift and are present in the building 24 hours a day.
A separate rota will be drawn up for the summer staff.
