The Municipal Medical Center Ringsaker (KMS) is responsible for providing health and care services to all residents of Ringsaker municipality. The unit provides treatment before, instead of and after hospital stays. The unit has 60 beds offering acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, palliative care and short-term places. In addition, KMS has a department that offers learning and coping training consisting of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, wellness center, aids and cancer coordinator.

The unit is a competence resource that offers guidance and training to the other nursing and care units, as well as working closely with the specialist health service and doctors / emergency services. KMS is committed to developing safe services with high professional quality, and ensuring the right services at the right time. Our interdisciplinary approach consisting of doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and health professionals focuses on promoting quality of life and mastery of one's own life for our patients through a holistic approach, knowledge-based practice and person-centered care. There are a total of 3.2 full-time equivalent doctors attached to the unit, in addition to a trainee one day per week.

We focus on user participation with the basic idea of "what is important to you" and the patients' goals become our common goals for the stay. Our services are constantly evolving in line with the increasing complexity of the patient's health status and treatment needs.

We are looking for a committed doctor for a 100% temporary position this summer. We want applicants who can work from week 24 to week 32.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide professional, responsible, caring health care to all patients at the institution in accordance with current legislation
  • Contribute to quality assurance and quality development of the service in collaboration with the other staff
  • Conduct necessary health examinations of patients and initiate treatment plan in collaboration with other health professionals in the department
  • Have contact / conversation with relatives and other actors in the service
  • Follow-up of medication, medication reconciliation and medication review
  • Documentation in the municipality's electronic patient record

Qualifications:

  • Norwegian authorization as a doctor/medical student with a license
  • Good written and oral presentation skills
  • Good interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Personal suitability is emphasized
