Health and care services in VTK shall promote increased mastery of one's own life in one's own everyday life and contribute to the individual being able to take responsibility for their own life situation as much as possible. The aim of the physiotherapy and occupational therapy service is to "strengthen people's ability to master their own lives".

The physiotherapy and occupational therapy service is organized under Health and Care, and operates Frisklivssentral, municipal assistive device warehouse and municipal BPA. The physiotherapy and occupational therapy service currently has 14 man-years divided into 5.6 man-years of physiotherapists, 5.40 man-years of occupational therapists, 2 wellness counselors/special physiotherapists, 1 assistive technology technician

Also 9.50 contract positions for contract physiotherapists, divided into 4 institutes

Summer temp as assistive technology technician, 70% position, Vestre Toten municipality. Weeks 26, 27, 28 and 29.

Tasks related to the position

  • Responsibility for the municipality's short-term warehouse.
  • Provision of technical aids to/from the municipality's warehouse to the municipality's residents, at home and in institutions (this applies to both permanent and short-term lending).
  • Receive aids from the NAV Assistive Technology Center and pass these on, as well as ensuring that aids that are no longer needed are returned to the NAV Assistive Technology Center.
  • Responsibility for simpler repairs of assistive devices that users have on permanent loan.
  • Washing and maintenance of municipal assistive devices.
  • Register loaned/returned assistive devices in electronic patient records, write various forms to NAV Hjelpemiddelsentralen.Ensure that the assistive device warehouse is kept in order and that the vehicle used for the provision of assistive devices is in proper condition.
  • Collaborate closely with the department's occupational and physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Desired Qualifications/education

  • Knowledge of technical aids.
  • Knowledge of welfare technology solutions, application and installation of these.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good knowledge of ICT tools and electronic interaction.
  • Driver's license class B
