The Gjøvik Emergency Department is looking for dedicated and motivated summer temps for the summer of 2027.

Here, you’ll be part of a dynamic environment with skilled nurses and doctors! As a temp, you’ll assist with the work done by the nurses, based on your previous experience and skills. We’re looking for someone who is either a licensed nurse, a nursing student who has completed their second year, or a medical student who has completed their third year. You will not be able to perform medical tasks in this temporary position, but will serve in the role of nurse or nursing assistant.

The vacation period runs from weeks 25–34, and we prefer that you be available as much as possible during this time. It would be beneficial if training could begin earlier. Please indicate in your application when you are available to work and begin training.

The emergency department is a fast-paced and exciting workplace. Here, you’ll find a variety of tasks that will provide you with valuable experience. We have an exceptionally good work environment and always welcome new employees to our team.

Job Responsibilities

• Admit patients requiring immediate care.
• Document patient information in Dips Arena and Metavision.
• Care for patients in the observation unit.
• Help keep the ward clean and tidy.
• Transport patients to the inpatient ward when a porter is not available.
• Duties will be tailored to the individual’s qualifications.

Qualifications

• A Norwegian nursing license is preferred.
• Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken Norwegian.
  
• Nursing students who have completed their second year.
• Medical students who have completed their third year, preferably with experience in an inpatient ward or emergency medicine.
• Nursing experience.
