Department of Emergency Medicine in Intensive Care and Emergency Department is looking for committed and motivated summer temps 2026.

Duties

Emergency department:

  • Receive emergency admissions, provide emergency medical care that safeguards life and health
  • Where otherwise not possible, provide palliative care.
  • Assist in teamwork for acute conditions.
  • Accept elective patients and perform nursing tasks required to initiate further assessment and treatment.
  • Operation of acute surgical/medical island care around the clock.
  • Provide care/grief support for relatives in the event of sudden and unexpected death
  • Operate the observation post
  • Assist in keeping the ward clean and tidy
  • Transport patients to the ward.
  • Tasks are adapted to the individual's qualifications.

Intensive care:

  • Nursing care for monitoring and acutely critically ill patients
  • Providing palliative care when all else fails
  • Assisting with procedures
  • Interacting with the various wards in the hospital and the municipal health service
  • Collaboration with relatives
  • Participating in various emergency teams such as the mobile emergency team, cardiac arrest and thrombolysis.
  • Medication management and registration in the electronic medication basket, Metavision
  • Documentation in DIPS Arena
  • Tasks are adapted to the individual's qualifications.
  • Assist in keeping the department clean and tidy.

Qualifications

  • Norwegian authorization as a nurse
  • Nurse with further education
  • Nurse students completed 2 years
  • Medical students with experience from ward/emergency medicine
  • Authorization as a health professional
  • Nursing experience
  • Be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian
