Etnedal municipality is looking for summer temps for Etnedalsheimen, home care, adapted services (Bofellesskap Kirkevoll) and the main kitchen at Etnedalsheimen.
Do you want to make a difference for people - and at the same time get a meaningful summer job in beautiful Etnedal? We are looking for you who want to contribute to good days for our residents through work in nursing, care, environmental work and kitchen operations.
We have a need for unskilled workers, students (high school and college), health workers, nurses, social workers and others with a relevant social or educational background.

Tasks
Etnedalsheimen
Etnedalsheimen is the municipality's nursing home and consists of several somatic places for people in need of full-time care. As a summer substitute, you will be part of an interdisciplinary environment with a focus on safety, dignity and good everyday life for the residents.
Here you will work with, among other things:
- daily care
- observations and assessment of health status
- support for activities and social measures
- nutritional follow-up
- cooperation with other professional groups and relatives
Home care
Home care provides services in the users' own homes, to people of all ages and with different assistance needs. The work is varied, independent and flexible - and is suitable for those who thrive on responsibility and enjoy being on the move.
Here you will, among other things, work with:
- health care and medical observations
- medication management
- wound care and other nursing procedures
- personal care and practical assistance
- rehabilitation, guidance and support for coping
- safety-building measures and follow-up
The home care nurse uses a car in the service, and a driving license class B is a requirement.
Adapted services - Bofellesskap Kirkevoll
Kirkevoll is a 24-hour residence for people with congenital or early-onset, permanent cognitive disabilities. We work in a lifecycle perspective, with the goal that each resident should have good, content-rich and self-determined everyday lives.
- individual guidance and ADL training
- communication and interaction adapted to the individual
- planned environmental therapy measures and targeted documentation
- assistance with activities, leisure and social participation
- follow-up around nutrition, health and daily structure
- cooperation with relatives and external services
A car is used in the service, and a driving license class B is an advantage and occasionally necessary.
Institutional kitchen
The institutional kitchen consists of a main kitchen, a department kitchen, and its own café operation. The kitchen produces homemade and nutritious food for the residents at Etnedalsheimen, and customized diets are prepared as needed. In addition, the kitchen organizes dinner deliveries to residents who receive health services from the municipality. The delivery is carried out by volunteers.
The work is suitable for those who thrive on practical work and can work independently, as some solo work must be expected.
Typical tasks:
- cooking and producing dinner meals
- preparing diets and special diets
- portioning and preparing for serving and delivery
- dishwashing and cleaning
- good hygiene and food safety practices
Tasks will vary between services but may include:
- targeted environmental work and environmental therapeutic measures
- nursing and care tasks
- ADL guidance
- medication management
- nutrition follow-up
- documentation
- practical assistance and facilitation
- cooperation and good communication
- creating good, safe and meaningful everyday life
- food production and kitchen work
Qualifications
- Relevant education, professional certificate or experience is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Driver's license class B is required for work in home care and Kirkevoll
- For kitchen temps, experience from cooking, canteen, serving or other food-related activities is positive, but not necessary
- Pupils from restaurant and food subjects in upper secondary school, as well as skilled chefs/institutional chefs, are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work independently
- Good Norwegian language skills, oral and written
- A valid police certificate must be presented before starting
Training will be provided in all services
