Stor-Elvdal municipality in collaboration with Skogselskapet i Hedmark is looking for a supervisor for young people in the summer job forestry; JOB;u 2026.

The summer job extends over 4 weeks from week 26.

Tasks

The main tasks for the position are:

• Being a supervisor for 4 young people in summer job forestry with emphasis on leading and performing practical young forest care and pre-clearing
• Organizing and conducting company visits within the forest industry for summer job forestry
• Assisting the forestry advisor in municipal forest management in projects initiated by the contact committee for forestry

A good supervisor for summer job forestry will be important for the group to be able to function and perform the assignments in line with employer and landowner requirements and goals.

Qualifications

The applicant must

• have an approved young forestry course and in addition have practical and theoretical experience in forestry.
• be independent, enterprising and able to make the necessary decisions.
• have a driving license class B and access to a car, preferably 5 seats.

Personal qualities

Good communication skills and leadership qualities are emphasized.
