Gjøvik Municipality is seeking dedicated summer temporary staff for our nursing homes, shared living arrangements, and 24-hour staffed assisted living facilities for the summer of 2027.

We need summer temporary staff at our care centers:

• Haugtun Care Center
• Sørbyen Nursing Home
• Nordbyen Care Center
• Snertingdal Care Center
• Biri Care Center
• Åslundmarka Residential and Service Center

These facilities consist of nursing home units, shared living arrangements, and 24-hour staffed assisted living facilities for older adults with various care and support needs.

What does the job entail?

As a summer temp, you will be an important part of our residents’ daily lives and help ensure they feel safe, stay active, and enjoy their days.

Job responsibilities may include:

• Nursing and care tasks
• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and nutrition
• Recreational activities and social interaction
• Practical assistance with daily living
• Monitoring and follow-up of health status
• Documentation in accordance with applicable procedures
• Collaboration with colleagues, family members, and other professional groups
• Contributing to a safe, pleasant, and inclusive living environment

Your duties will be tailored to your skills and experience and may vary between different facilities.

Practical information

We need summer temporary staff during the following period:

June 14, 2027, to August 15, 2027

To ensure continuity for our patients and residents, we require that you be able to work for at least six weeks during the summer.

You will receive:

• Fixed shifts and percentage of full-time employment as agreed
• Opportunity for up to a 100% position
• Work days, evenings, nights, and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old
• Licensing is required for healthcare positions
• You must have a good command of Norwegian, both spoken and written (minimum B2 level)
• A clean criminal background check must be submitted before starting the position
