We are now looking for a Construction Manager for our project business in Kiruna.
About the role
As Construction Manager, you have overall responsibility for the project department in Kiruna. You lead and develop employees, support project managers in their daily work and also run your own projects. The role is both strategic and operational and suits you who thrive close to the business, the business and the customer.
You will join an established project business with both ongoing assignments and new projects, and will play a central role in driving business and developing the business forward. Here you work in an entrepreneurial organization with short decision-making paths, where responsibility, commitment and cooperation characterize everyday life.
Work tasks
- Manage and develop the project department in Kiruna
- Personnel responsibility for project managers and other employees
- Operational support to project managers and responsibility for own projects
- Calculation, follow-up and control of projects
- Sales and work with new and existing customer relationships
- Responsibility for project economy and profitability
- Work environment responsibility according to applicable laws and guidelines
- Development and management of project processes
Your profile
We are looking for a confident, businesslike and structured leader. You are used to taking responsibility, making decisions and delivering even in a fast-paced environment.
We look for you to have:
- At least 5 years of experience in the mining industry or similar environment
- Good understanding of business and project economics
- Experience in costing and sales
- Experience in personnel management and leadership
- Good interpersonal skills and clear, unpretentious leadership
- Ability to work in a structured way and manage stress
In addition, we expect you to have a good operational understanding of the practical implementation of projects and be able to use this in dialog with both the project team and the customer.
