About the role As a Maintenance Mechanic at Jernbro, you get a key role at one of our largest customers in Västerås. You work in a technology-oriented environment with both preventive and remedial maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and improvement and installation projects. You will collaborate with other experienced colleagues, but also be given the opportunity to run smaller projects on your own - from idea to implementation. We are looking for you who have in-depth experience in mechanical maintenance and preferably with over 10 years of experience but above all a solution-oriented mindset, strong technical interest and the ability to take responsibility and work in a structured way in varying assignments. The position sometimes involves standby duty. Who are you? You are a confident and self-driven mechanic with strong technical skills. You enjoy problem solving, work methodically and take responsibility for finding long-term solutions. Whether you've gained your experience in heavy industry, automotive, maintenance or machine repair, you've deepened your skills over time - both practically and theoretically. We would like you to have: - At least 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in industry - Good knowledge in troubleshooting, repair, machine maintenance - Experience of working with hydraulics, pneumatics and welding is an advantage - Experience of working in a structured way with maintenance planning - Good computer skills (e.g. in maintenance systems) - B-driving license - Swedish in speech and writing Technical education is a plus, but we value experience and professional skills highly.
