We at Jernbro are now looking for a PMI operator for our team in Finspång. The role is about quality control of materials in a technically controlled environment. You do not need to have worked with PMI before, the most important thing is that you have the right way of working and attitude. We will teach you the technology.
About the role
In this role, you'll be checking materials to ensure they meet the right requirements and specifications.
The work is done using handheld X-ray equipment and clear, well-established procedures for documentation and traceability.
You work in an environment where precision, structure and quality are central parts of everyday life.
The work can be varied and take place in different environments depending on the assignment, with a focus on accuracy, methodology and quality.
The role requires some flexibility, as work sometimes needs to be adapted to meet schedules and assignments.
Your tasks
- Perform material checks using handheld X-ray equipment
- Ensure that the results are documented and reported correctly according to our procedures
- Work methodically and carefully to ensure that materials meet applicable requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain quality and traceability
- Work independently but also in close collaboration with others in the team

Experience and background
We are looking for you who have worked in roles where control, accuracy and responsibility have been central parts of the work.
Examples of experience that may be relevant (but not limited to)
- Operator or technician in an industrial or technical environment
- Quality controller or measurement operator
- Working with documentation, measurement or traceability
- Production work with a clear focus on quality and detail
Experience in PMI, quality work or non-destructive testing is an advantage but not a requirement.
Qualifications
- Ability to read drawings
- Swedish and English in speech and writing
- Basic computer skills (Office/Excel)
- Interest in technology and quality
