Are you the one? Do you have a passion for small-scale mechanics, a trained eye for detail and want to develop in a unique specialist role? Then you can become our new spindle technician at Komponentservice in Skövde, where every thousandth of a millimeter makes a difference.
What is a spindle?
A spindle is the heart of a CNC machine, the rotating device that drives the tool at up to tens of thousands of revolutions per minute. When it wears out or breaks down, the whole production stops. With us, you'll work on refurbishing, balancing and restoring spindles to like-new condition, which requires extreme precision and attention to detail.
About the company
We at Komponentservice are 30 colleagues, five of whom work full-time with spindle service in one of Sweden's most competent teams in the field. In our newly built and modern premises in Norra Ryd, you will be met by a working environment where both technology, craftsmanship and well-being are at the center.
With us, you get to follow the entire chain: from diagnosis and troubleshooting, through advanced renovation, to test runs in specially built rigs. No two spindles are alike, which means that you will never have a monotonous working day.
Your role with us
As a Spindle Technician/Fine Mechanic, you will, among other things:
- Disassemble, troubleshoot and analyze spindles with micrometer precision
- Measure, adjust and assemble components with tight tolerances
- Balance and test drive in our rigs
- Manufacture special tools and develop test equipment
- Machining parts in the workshop (milling/lathe)
- If needed, work with assembly/disassembly at customer site
You will often work independently but will always be supported by an experienced and close-knit team.
Who are we looking for?
We believe that you:
- Have experience in precision engineering, micromechanics, toolmaking or equivalent
- Are accurate, systematic and like technical challenges
- Can read drawings and handle measuring equipment
- Have worked with tight tolerances and preferably rotating machine parts
- Or have the right basic knowledge and a strong interest in learning this specialist role
Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics and/or pneumatics is an advantage.
Why choose us?
With us you get:
- A secure job with collective agreements, market conditions and good benefits
- Opportunities for training
- A specialized team with unique expertise in Sweden
- Newly renovated premises, modern equipment and short decision-making paths
- A workplace with low staff turnover and strong professional pride
