Vuollerim School is an F5 school with an after-school program for students from preschool through upper elementary grades. Approximately 23 students participate in the program. We are seeking a staff member for Vuollerim School’s after-school program. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As an after-school program teacher, you’ll be responsible for planning, leading, and developing educational and meaningful after-school activities based on the students’ needs and the school’s goals. You’ll create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where students have the opportunity to develop both social and practical skills. You’ll work alongside colleagues to offer a variety of activities that promote play, physical activity, creativity, and a sense of community. The role also involves health promotion and preventive measures, as well as providing students with support in their social development. You will collaborate closely with the school’s staff during the school day, participate in education-related activities, and contribute to students’ learning by fostering structure, a sense of security, and student engagement. The role also involves documentation, monitoring program activities, and communicating with parents and guardians. QUALIFICATIONS You are a certified after-school program teacher or hold another educational qualification and have a solid understanding of the after-school program’s mission as outlined in Lgr22. You can plan and lead safe and meaningful activities and have the ability to build strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are organized, responsible, and a good team player. Experience working with diverse groups of students and adapting activities to their needs is a plus. Employment Type: Fixed-term position.
