The Health and Medical Care Unit within the municipal primary care system is part of social services and focuses on nursing homes, home health care, and functional support. The unit is staffed by registered nurses, specialty nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing assistants. JOB DUTIES As the unit manager for licensed staff and nursing assistants, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations. You’ll work closely with your colleagues and report directly to the operations manager. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to combine strategic thinking with practical leadership. You will lead, plan, and develop operations to ensure safe, high-quality care for the municipality’s residents. You will also play a key role in creating an environment that fosters growth and development for both staff and the organization. Your responsibilities include: • Personnel management, recruitment, and professional development within the team • Schedule planning • Collaborating with other units and internal and external stakeholders • Engaging in regular dialogue with employees and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality operations • Delegated responsibility for workplace safety • Shared budget responsibility in collaboration with the operations manager You will work closely with four unit managers; together, you will be part of the same management team and share weekend on-call duties. QUALIFICATIONS • Registered Nurse • Experience working as a manager in municipal health and social care • Strong knowledge of legislation related to health care, the Social Services Act (SoL), and the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) • Clear, trust-based leadership • Ability to work strategically and with a long-term perspective on operational development • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Class B driver’s license Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
