The assistance unit is part of the social services' operations, where the exercise of authority is housed. The assistance unit currently consists of 13 employees who work to provide and offer support and care to children, families, young people and adults who live or are in the municipality where the user's needs are in focus. We strive to maintain high quality in investigations and documentation. We are looking for a committed and driven operations manager for our assistance unit. As head of operations, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing and following up the unit's work with the exercise of authority in elderly care and functional support. You lead a team of competent employees and work closely with your colleagues in the business on a daily basis. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In the role of operations manager, you will collaborate professionally with other units within the department and the administration. You ensure a good service and legally secure processing together with your employees Collaboration also takes place with other internal and external partners. As head of operations, you have independent responsibility for personnel, finances and development work in your operations The activities include individual and family care in its entirety, outpatient care and treatment activities, assistance processing and LSS processing. You are directly subordinate to the Head of Social Services. As you will be working in a team, you should appreciate the daily interaction in the workplace. This position requires a very high degree of physical presence and offers limited opportunities for teleworking. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should have broad experience in the field of social work and a university degree deemed relevant to the position. You must have experience of administration in the field and of a supervisory role. As a manager, you will be expected to lead, inspire and motivate staff and coach them to develop. Keeping up to date with research and development in your field is a matter of course, as is being structured and clear in your communication, both verbal and written. The employer takes great account of personal suitability and a driving license is a requirement. We want you to have a clear development focus as we are in a transition towards the new Social Services Act that came in 2025 and that you have a solid interest and commitment to working in the short and long term with the challenges that the social services face. You have good self-awareness, are calm and methodical with the ability to think strategically.
