Knallhattens Preschool is a single-classroom preschool in Porjus with about 13 children ages 1–5, and we’re looking for a substitute preschool teacher—with a strong possibility of permanent employment. We’re looking for someone who, together with two other educators, wants to develop our program with the child at the center. At our preschool, the seasons provide rhythm, structure, and security, but it is the children’s questions and interests that guide us. By working on projects, being present in the children’s daily lives, and listening to their thoughts, we create an educational experience that grows out of their own discoveries and needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading and developing the educational program based on the preschool curriculum. You plan, implement, follow up on, and develop the educational work together with the teaching team. The role includes: • Leading the educational work based on scientific principles and proven experience. • Creating accessible and inspiring learning environments. • Documenting, monitoring, and analyzing children’s learning and development. • Collaborating with parents and guardians to create favorable conditions for the children’s development and learning. • Actively contributing to the preschool’s systematic quality assurance efforts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Is a licensed preschool teacher. • Have a solid understanding of the preschool curriculum. • Have the ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues. • Are responsible, flexible, and solution-oriented. • Have strong collaboration skills but also enjoy taking the initiative. Experience working with children who require special support, as well as knowledge of accessible learning environments and systematic quality assurance, is a plus.
