The Children and Education Department is responsible for preschool, after-school care, compulsory school and adapted compulsory school grades F-9. In total, we are about 120 people who work to provide good activities for our children and students and prepare them for the future.
As a staff member in our department, you work with us to create the conditions for children and pupils to have a desire to learn and the opportunity to succeed. Within the Children and Education Department, development work is underway to achieve increased goal attainment, form a sustainable organization with a good working environment that can meet the challenges facing preschool and school.
We are looking for a principal for our middle and upper secondary school. Östra skolan is since the fall of 2023 a newly established grades 4-9 school with about 200 students. In the spring of 2023, the school was renovated and adapted to meet current needs.
WORK TASKS
As principal, you are responsible for operations, staff, work environment and finances within your organization. To help you, you have a school administrator. You will work in close collaboration with the management team, student health and the school's first teacher. Together with the other principals and quality developers, you will be part of a central management team led by the Head of School. Support is also provided by the Business Economist and HR Strategist.
In the role of headteacher, you carry out active systematic quality work that focuses on how you can create the conditions for staff to offer pupils a high-quality school. You are responsible for ensuring that activities are developed in accordance with the Education Act, curriculum and other policy documents' goals and intentions. As a principal, you have a broad mandate and responsibility to lead and organize your school.
You drive development forward, and inspire your staff to contribute and be co-leaders in this work. In your role as principal, you lead your school with well-developed structures and you create good contexts for students, staff and guardians.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a university degree in education. It is an advantage if you have completed the principal training or other leadership training and have experience of working as a principal or have experience of other types of leadership assignments.

The salary range for this position is between 49 - 55 000 SEK/month. We apply individual salary setting based on your experience and skills.
