The Children and Education Department is responsible for preschool, after-school care, compulsory school and adapted compulsory school grades F-9. In total, we are about 120 people working to provide good services for our children and pupils and prepare them for the future. As a staff member in our department, you work with us to create the conditions for children and pupils to have the desire to learn and the opportunity to succeed. Within the Children and Education Department, development work is underway to achieve increased goal achievement, form a sustainable organization with a good work environment that can meet the challenges facing preschools and schools. We are looking for a school counselor who can strengthen our student health team. You will primarily work with students in grades F-3 and upper secondary school. WORK TASKS The task of student health is primarily to work to promote health and prevention. Through psychosocial work, the school counselor contributes to the students achieving their educational goals. Working with the school's core values, equal treatment work and supervising teachers in psychosocial issues are part of the assignment. As a school counselor, you are part of the school's student health team and the central student health. You work in close collaboration with the principal, teachers and other staff. QUALIFICATIONS A degree in social work or behavioral science, preferably with experience of working with children and young people. Previous work as a school counselor is an advantage, as is experience with children and students with various NPF diagnoses. You will - are calm and accommodating in your treatment of students, guardians and colleagues. - are interested in others and have a willingness and ability to help others move forward, it is natural for you to find solutions and make it work. - have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize your work effectively - have a flair for leading yourself and motivating people you meet - have a B driving license. We attach great importance to personal suitability. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
