We at Östra skolan in Jokkmokk need to supplement our work team 4-9 with a special education teacher. We have about 200 pupils and many of them need support and special education interventions at some point during their school time. You work closely with our student health team with a counselor, school nurse and SYV, all three full-time. Together we prioritize which students and groups should have extra adjustments, action programs and special support. We also have resource educators who support both groups and individuals.
If you are a new graduate, we promise to take good care of you and help you through the first important years as a teacher.
The school is centrally located in Jokkmokk and is a well-functioning workplace for both students and teachers.

DUTIES.
To prioritize and plan for special support for pupils who are at risk of not achieving the goals in the respective grade. You support both students and teachers in the classroom but also in small groups or with individual students. You are in contact with guardians and conduct educational surveys and write action programs. You can also supervise teachers and participate in the development of effective learning environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Teacher training, qualified and licensed special needs teacher.
Unqualified applicants may also be considered.
