In our new premises in Junosuando, you have the opportunity to eat and take a break together with your colleagues. Access to showers and saunas is available. The trucks you will drive are new Volvo Aero, 700 hp, 5-axles with SLP attachment and 5-axle trailer. You will drive the heaviest rig in Europe - 90 tons total weight.
Duties
You will transport the ore from Kaunisvaara to Pitkäjärvi. Drive a vehicle combination consisting of a heavy truck with a heavy trailer (90 tons total weight with a total weight permit) for Kaunis Iron Logistik AB. Iron ore concentrates are transported from the Kaunisvaara concentrator to the Pitkäjärvi transshipment terminal near Svappavaara. Our operations are based in Junosuando.
Education and qualifications
Valid driving license and YKB for trucks with heavy trailers (CE), holder of a digital tachograph driver card. It is meritorious if you have previously worked as a driver with a heavy truck with a heavy trailer, worked as a bus driver or driven ore transports. A personal car is not required but you must have the ability to get to and from work.
Personal qualities
The role requires you to be self-driven and take responsibility for and structure your work tasks. You are well aware of the objectives and quality standards that apply and put a lot of effort into achieving them. The job requires good teamwork skills and the ability to work with others in a responsive and flexible manner as part of a team. You will also be meticulous, stress-resistant and have a positive attitude. You should also have good communication skills, even in stressful situations, and be able to see the big picture of the whole process. You are flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. As a person, you are attentive and courteous and you have an interest, willingness and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
