The position
We are now looking for a driven and committed mining technician who wants to contribute to sustainable mining operations in Pajala. As a technician, you are part of the planning department at the mine, which is responsible for both short-term and long-term mining planning, measurement, geology and grade control. The work means that you will be working in an area that is constantly changing, with high demands on safety awareness and security. Our operations are conducted in the mining area in Kaunisvaara, where the service is stationed.

Duties
As a mining technician, you work in a team responsible for mining planning at the Kaunisvaara mining area, where you will work to develop documentation / recipes to correspond to planned ore grades against outcomes. The mining technician also ensures that the right material mix and sufficient ore is available for the primary crusher. You work closely with the geologist and mine production staff, so communication is an important part of the job. As a mining technician, you also closely follow the loading and transportation of ore.

Education and qualifications
We are looking for you who have a professional education where rock materials and mine production have been a major part. The ability to use Microsoft Office programs is a requirement, mine planning software and/or other CAD programs is an advantage. The job requires the ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English. For employment, a driving license, class B for manual transmission is required.

Personal qualities
The role requires that you have an interest in production issues and are committed and interested in solving daily problems. You are flexible and take responsibility for your tasks, which you structure, plan and manage effectively.

As a person, you are calm, attentive and courteous and you have an interest and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You have a high level of cooperation, you listen, communicate and resolve conflicts in a constructive way.

Terms of employment

Temporary employment with six months probationary period.
