JOB DESCRIPTION As a growth strategist, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to building the future of Sweden's northernmost municipality, Kiruna. Here you are surrounded by magnificent nature, a newly developed center and a city that continues to grow in the new Kiruna. In the role of growth strategist at Kiruna municipality, you are responsible for creating platforms and conditions for development in important future issues, for example by analyzing opportunities for increased population growth. You will work within the Growth Unit, which is part of the Urban Development Department under the Municipal Management Administration. The unit consists of a team of eight employees in various functions, including strategists in business and community planning. Your tasks include working to make Kiruna an attractive place to live, developing a long-term strategy for growth in the municipality and being responsible for implementing this strategy. An important part of the work involves building networks and creating contacts both nationally and internationally in the public sector, business and universities to find innovative solutions that contribute to the municipality's growth. You will also manage consultation responses of various kinds, and lead and coordinate work on project and grant applications, with the aim of increasing the municipality's funding opportunities, for example through government funds and EU support. Kiruna municipality is currently facing a challenge in the form of a labor shortage. Therefore, your role includes coordinating, developing and planning various initiatives aimed at increasing migration to the municipality. In addition to the strategic work, the position may also include some operational tasks. QUALIFICATIONS You have a university degree and the ability to think both strategically and creatively. - You are a skilled relationship builder and have the ability to drive complex assignments across organizational boundaries. - Experience from both the business and public sectors, preferably in politically governed organizations, is an advantage. - You have proven experience in negotiations and are confident in such contexts. - A broad network of contacts in both business and the public sector is considered an advantage. - You have experience in selling ideas or concepts, and a strong commitment to future issues and social development. - Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing, is a requirement. - Management experience, for example as a project or program manager, is an advantage. - It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with initiating and driving growth issues. Other merits - B-driving license is desirable. Personal qualities You are brave, reliable and have high social skills. You also have a strong drive to turn ideas into reality. As a person, you are a clear communicator with the ability to plan and structure your work independently. You enjoy working with others and are energized by teamwork.
