We are looking for a committed person, an activity coordinator who wants to take on the work of starting up and running Kiruna municipality's meeting point in Vittangi.
The meeting point is a vibrant meeting place where community, activity and well-being are at the center. We offer seniors a meaningful everyday life through social activities, health promotion and the opportunity to make new contacts. The activities are an important part of the municipality's preventive work to counteract involuntary loneliness and promote an active and independent life. According to the new Social Services Act, the Social Welfare Board should make it easier for individuals to live at home and independently under safe conditions. The individual should also be offered the opportunity to have an active and meaningful life in community with others.

JOB DESCRIPTION.
As an activity coordinator, you plan, coordinate and implement activities based on the needs and wishes of the participants, both independently and together with PRO, which is located in nearby premises.
The work includes, among other things:
- planning and leading activities such as gymnastics, games, cultural elements, handicrafts, entertainment, etc. based on the needs that exist.
- creating a social community and participation
- celebrating public holidays and also holidays that are culturally linked to that place.
- cooperate with PRO and other actors such as the local home care service
- participate in health promotion work, for example on welfare technology and lifestyle.
The position is a project position for two years and covers 50%. The work is scheduled for daytime, Monday to Friday. Working hours may be adapted based on the needs of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for people who have:
- An education deemed relevant by the employer.
- You are flexible, have good interpersonal skills, can express yourself well in speech and writing and have a genuine interest in the target group.
- You are social and relationship-building.
- Take initiative and work independently.
Experience is an asset:
- Experience of working with seniors, leisure activities or health promotion.
- Knowledge of the minority languages Finnish, Meänkieli and Sami.
- Knowledge of the Social Services Act.
- Good computer skills and interest in digital technology.
