JOB DESCRIPTION The position of deputy principal includes responsibility for Svappavaara school, the primary school in Vittangi school and Soppero family day care center and school. All units are small with a few pupils and staff. Vittangi school is a F-9 school, while Svappavaara and Soppero are F-6 schools. In terms of distance, the schools are located close to each other, with good opportunities to travel between Vittangi, Svappavaara and Soppero. Teachers are divided into teams, each responsible for a year group in Vittangi. In Svappavaara and Soppero, the teaching is mixed grades, as there are few pupils. Collaboration takes place between teams, with the local student health team and other school functions. As an assistant principal, you have both operational and personnel responsibilities. Under the leadership of the principal, you will create the conditions for educational quality and for a good and health-promoting work environment. The tasks are varied, but the focus is to work together with the principal and deputy principal to drive the school's educational and organizational development work, based on the curriculum and school law.
