JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The short-term care facility accommodates children, youth, and adults with various functional variations. Residents stay at the facility for varying numbers of days per month based on their assessed needs. The purpose of a short-term stay is to provide respite for family members and a change of environment for the residents. The facility operates in accordance with the fundamental principles and key tenets of the LSS Act. The facility’s goal is for residents to feel safe and receive high-quality care. The work involves the ability to meet each individual’s needs for guidance and care while respecting self-determination, independence, and integrity. Job responsibilities include being attentive to service users’ individual needs, wishes, and resources. We offer meaningful and varied work in a dedicated team with a positive work environment. Work hours are scheduled and include day, evening, and weekend shifts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who wants to work with people with physical, mental, and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. We prefer that you have a high school diploma in healthcare or child and recreation studies with a focus on developmental disabilities, social work, or other education with a similar focus, or equivalent experience. Previous experience working in LSS services and/or short-term residential care is a plus. You must be responsible and have a positive attitude. Experience working with this target group is required. You demonstrate good judgment and understand that your words and actions influence the situation. You must be open to new ideas, proactive, flexible, able to work toward long-term goals, a good team player, and have a professional attitude. You are able to work both independently and as part of a team, and have strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
