The Social Services Department’s mission is to meet people’s need for security. JOB DUTIES The department operates in accordance with the fundamental principles and key tenets of the LSS Act. As a staff member, you will help users feel safe, included, and independent in their daily lives by creating a predictable and understandable environment. Together with your colleagues, you will work to ensure that every service user can make the most of their abilities and have the opportunity to develop through clear, supportive guidance and individualized accommodations. The job involves providing support with all household tasks, such as planning, personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, shopping, financial management, medication, social skills training, cultural activities, and leisure. You are expected to collaborate effectively with the client’s support network, such as day programs, guardians, and family members. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a big heart, a desire to make a difference, and a drive to grow. You’ve demonstrated good judgment and understand that your words and actions toward the clients directly influence the situation. • We prefer that you are a nursing assistant, childcare worker, or have equivalent training. • Your approach should be educational and professional. • Previous experience working with LSS is a strong asset • Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required • We prefer that you have good physical ability and mobility.
